About

Kaitlyn Clare Kelly Wright was an incredible champion for a world she was taken from too soon. At 31 years old and 32 weeks pregnant, complications arose due to an unforeseen and expedited case of eclampsia. Within a matter of hours she and her partner, Adam, lost their sweet boy Grady. 48 hours later, Kaitlyn, who had fallen into a coma, was pronounced to have joined Grady on the other side.

K&G Conservation is an effort to preserve Kaitlyn’s wish for a healthier planet. What does that look like? Who’s to say. But for now there are plans to host an annual trash pickup event in Kansas City (with out-of-towners encouraged to do their part in their own community). Ideas on conservation practices will be shared, and ideas and suggestions on how others can get more involved are welcome and appreciated.

It’s a big world out there and we humans are doing all that we can, at a record pace, to ensure it does not exist for future generations. We cannot save this planet on our own, and that can feel absolutely infuriating, but as Kaitlyn would be quick to remind us, picking up a stray piece of trash may not save the entire planet, but it may save a sea turtle or two. No matter how big the obstacle, we can always choose to do something.

May we always choose to do something.

Thanks for your support.
