I hope every hospital in America will one day host honor walks for those that made the decision to be an organ donor. Kaitlyn had made that decision, though none of us ever imagined she’d be a candidate so soon in life, and the resulting walk to honor that decision made the day we said goodbye to her just a tiny bit more bearable.
The hallway was lined with hundreds of hospital staff; some had heard that Wesley, Kaitlyn’s mom, is a world class harpist, so they arranged to have two harps played as well. They applauded her selfless decision (one we now know saved the life of multiple other people) and when we made it down to the home stretch before they took her in for her body’s last surgery, they were gracious to give me the floor.
This was (is) my message to anyone willing to listen.

And here is the film I created, with hopes to show the World of Kaitlyn’s wondrous spirit.
